Research
Research by faculty and residents in the UCSF-East Bay Program covers a wide spectrum of clinical and basic surgical sciences. For the residents, research is a centerpiece of the program. Upon completion of their PGY 3 year, UCSF-East Bay residents are offered the opportunity to pursue basic science and clinical research in laboratories of surgical investigators throughout the U.S.
Our mission is to develop the next generation of leaders in academic surgery.
