Vascular Surgery at the UCSF-East Bay is comprised of two vascular surgeons, a nurse practitioner, and two surgical residents who manage peripheral vascular pathology at Alameda Health System.
A full range of surgical and endovascular interventions including EVAR/TEVAR, complex venous recanalization, vascular trauma, carotid disease, abdominal and thoracic vascular pathology, comprehensive lower extremity PAD, thoracic outlet syndrome, and outpatient-based dialysis access and varicose veins is provided.
300+ major vascular procedures are performed each year. Vascular outpatient clinic is provided three days a week at Highland Hospital, co-located with our non-invasive vascular laboratory. The vascular laboratory performs approximately 4400+ studies per year at three hospitals in the AHS system.
The vascular surgery service is growing rapidly and has recently merged with AHS cardiology to form a comprehensive cardiovascular service line, the first integrated service line at AHS.
